About the Author
Greetings

Welcome
I wonder what you might want to know about me and the perspective I bring to the writing showcased on these pages…
Well, I hope to be seen as an ordinary person just hoping to leave a mark on this world, a loving and true family member and friend, a lifelong learner possessing a curious and sharp mind, an almost-retiree who simply loves to read and write. I wanna be a writer-beach-walker when I grow up.
Thank you for visiting!

Aspirations

Artist Statement
I am awed by the beauty and power of language,
and I make art with words.
and I make art with words.
If I were a painter, I’d be a pointillist – demonstrating how small details of varying colors brought close together can craft an impressive big picture. If I were an engineer, I’d be a bridge-builder – connecting what is separated with an elegant arc, helping people to travel over what is difficult to cross. If I were a physician, I’d be a geneticist – studying how people become who they are, what they are at the cellular level. As a writer, I seek to do all those things in lyrical prose.
Factoids

Random trivia of interest
- My family includes 5 siblings (I’m second in line), 12 nieces and nephews, and 7 grands. I’m kinda the matriarch.
- I am an avid reader, inveterate walker, curious learner, slow cross-stitcher, and recipe-dependent cook/baker.
- I grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania (everybody’s hometown, Media), lived in New England for 8 years in my 20s, and am now a resident of the first state, Delaware (at the beach since 2024).
- My collections include owls (of the tchotchke variety), snow people (my Christmas and winter decorations), and board games (no batteries)… and books!
