There’s a song in The Secret Garden that perfectly captures that Cape Cod feeling for me… I need a place where I can go… …Where I can make my plans and write them down so I can read them …A place where I can bid my heart be still, and it will mind me …A place where I can go and there I will find me …Where no one says to go or stay …Where I can take my pen and draw the girl I mean to be I have enjoyed my days here – walking on the beaches, looking…

The Martha’s Vineyard Post Sometimes a vacation calls for playing tourist, and on Wednesday, I did just that by taking a jaunt over to Martha’s Vineyard. I was noticing the bridges on the way to Cape Cod today, and I found myself thinking about them more metaphorically than structurally. Bridge: a structure carrying a pathway or roadway over a depression or obstacle OR a time, place, or means of connection…
